I love reading “Paulitical Economy” because it condenses and breaks down the complexities of the business economy into bite-sized, relatable insights. Paul, a seasoned portfolio manager, has a natural talent of making sense of what’s happening without overwhelming the reader with technical terms.

Coupled with economic lessons from ‘Financial Ructions’ (my favourite section) and insightful book summaries, this newsletter concisely delivers important information in a way you won’t find anywhere else. Paulitical Economy is a great summary of key economic issues, and helps inform me of key events from a trusted source. It is trust that is the elusive component of much of our financial news commentary, so appreciate the insights.

Keeping current on business and economic news is time consuming. Having a snapshot of a broad range of relevant news, with some historical context, humour, perspective and interesting anecdotes thrown in, is an engaging way to stay on top of things.

In a world with no shortage of information, the Paulitical Economy is amongst the top of my regular absolute “must reads”. The information is unique and in a format that makes it easily digestible. The combination of current insights supported by statistics with longer term “reads” makes this newsletter so helpful. I can feel myself getting smarter…which is no easy task.

Paul brings an unbiased and thoughtful perspective to the state of the economy and management team rhetoric.  In a world where conflicts are abound, Paul’s democratization of unbiased research is a must read.
